Future expectation for Christ’s church

Last updated on January 6, 2026

“… the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.” (1 Timothy 3:15)

The house of God on earth is His church. Together, believers form His family—people who live in connection with Him.

God lives, even if many deny it. Yet only those who believe in Him can experience a personal, living relationship with Him.

Faith is literally the difference between life and death. Pray for those who do not yet believe. And keep your own faith vibrant by spending time with God daily—reading Scripture and praying.

The church, God’s house on earth, is a worldwide building. The local church you belong to is a pillar within that great structure. You are part of it. The church is called to be the pillar and foundation of the truth, proclaiming God’s message to the world. At the same time, the church itself is upheld by the truth of the gospel and the whole Word of God. The church confesses and testifies to the truth—the truth that exposes every lie and deception.

Paul bursts into praise when he reflects on the great truths of the gospel (1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus is taken up in glory, proclaimed among the nations, and will one day return to earth. Then He will make all things new.

That is your future—if you believe in Him!
