“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
(Hebrews 11:6)
God is not Somebody we can see with our natural eyes, like we see other people. He is supernatural, and thus can only be “seen” by faith – although there certainly are a lot of hints towards him that we can perceive with our five senses. The only way to have a relationship with God, is by believing that he exists and that he wants a relationship with
us humans. If this would not have been the case, if God would not have taken the first step, it would have been utterly impossible to know him at all.
God is not a far away Being who is indifferent towards creation. He is a personal God, and he wants a personal relationship with people. He does not just like us to obey to his commandments, but he wants our love and devotion.
In Psalm 105:4 we are encouraged to “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” Do you already do so?
