Having a meal with Jesus

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” (John 21:12)

Unexpectedly, Jesus had come to meet His disciples while they were fishing on the Sea of Tiberias. As day was breaking, they were surprised by His arrival and the miraculous catch of fish.
When the disciples had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread.
And yet, Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”

Simon Peter got into the boat and pulled the net to the shore. It was full of big fish: 153 of them. But even with that many fish, the net did not tear.

Jesus invited His disciples to come and have breakfast together. None of the disciples dared to ask Him: “Who are You?” For they knew it was the Lord.
There was no doubt, their beloved Master had come to have a meal with them. Jesus took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise.

What a joyful reunion! When the disciples came ashore cold, tired and hungry, everything was ready for a meal with Jesus.

This was the third time Jesus revealed Himself to His disciples, after He had been raised from the dead.

Do you recognize those joyful moments during an unexpected encounter with Jesus?
