God’s power remains unchanged

“He is holy!” (Psalm 99:3)

The fourth volume consists of Psalms 90-106. Thousands of years ago, the writer of Psalm 99 already knew it: God’s power is unsurpassed (verses 1-5). This God is just, helping and forgiving (verses 6-9). He rules the whole world. The writer sings about God’s faithfulness towards Israel. It is encouraging because God’s nature does not change.
Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by what is happening in the world and confused by what people are capable of doing. If God is aware of all that, why doesn’t He intervene? Reminding ourselves of the words from the Psalms can be helpful in such times.

Prayer exercise:
Read psalm 99 out loud slowly.
Note what it says about God. For example: He reigns, He is exalted above all nations, He hears …, He …
Compose a prayer based on what you have written down. For example:
Father in heaven, I feel today that …
I read in Your Word today that You rule, have all power, but …
You hear those who call to You. I ask You to …
Thank God at the end of your prayer for His presence
You can pray likewise on the basis of other Bible verses/Psalms.
